"Juniors" are wildly popular student guitars. They came in Les Paul and SG body styles. Juniors were first Introduced in 1954 with the Les Paul Jr. The Junior utilized a very basic slab body design with one P-90 pickup, a simple wrap around stop tailpiece, lower end open back Kluson strip tuners, dot fingerboard inlays and a standard sunburst finish. Gibson also offered a "TV” Yellow version which was made to look white on black and white TV. Les paul juniors were initially single cut then later avaible as a double cut body.
