The Gibson Les Paul name has been used on many Gibson guitars.  Models included the Les Paul Standard, Custom, Special, Deluxe, and Junior.  Les Pauls first appeared in 1952 as a Les Paul Standard Goldtop.  The Goldtop featured a glued on neck and fingerboard inlays and a unique gold top.  It was not all that playable but looked great in a photograph !  The Les Paul Special was introduced in 1955 and the Lee Les Paul Standard arrived in 1958.  Gibson's Les Paul brand is one of the most successful electric guitars of all time and remains in production today.
Glare can be a real issue when taking les paul photos as the rounded top always seems to find a spot to create a reflection.  Be patient and try multiple angles and you will find there's always a way to get a good guitar photo.
